Renee Teygeler writes about his work in Iraq, where he tries to save as much cultural heritage as possible during the last war. Letters from Dutch sailors captured by English pirates were found in an English archive. Roelof van Gelder writes about these treasures, some dating from the first English war.

The Iraqi poet Salah Hasan fled from the prison camps of Saddam and tells us his experience as a “sans papier”. The Royal Library gives a report of a fire, deliberately created in a library, and continues with the techniques for saving the remains of the fire.
