A beautiful book, with a Japanese binding, was the first in the series of the Holland Paper Biennial Books.
Pat and Peter Gentenaar edited it.
The designer was Loes Schepens.
The publisher was Ben Platenburg/ Van Rossum.
The content is divided in two parts: a collection of stories by different paper experts from the Royal Library and the School for Restoration; and the catalog of artists who took part in the first Holland Paper Biennial. They write about their work and show a real sample of the paper material they use in their artwork.
Thanks to the enormous success of the first biennial, the book was sold out in two months.
